OUR OFFER

We provide professional developmental opportunities for your staff at different levels of your organization.  Through assessment, coaching, training, and consulting, our goal is to produce transformational experiences that will enhance effectiveness and job well-being at a personal and organizational level. We offer tools, knowledge and guidance to develop and enhance job performance with emphasis on personal professional balance while finding meaning in the work we do. All our services are offered in English and Spanish.

Leadership Skills

This program focuses on developing a personal vision and mission statement. Elements of successful leadership are identified. Participants prepare a personal development plan with the goal of guiding other people to achieve their organizational and personal goals and producing extraordinary results.

Coaching Skills

This participative workshop will provide tools to develop your staff and help them to be more effective. Some of the strategies discussed are: how to develop and maintain motivating relationships, inspire commitment, deal with emotions, and align individual needs to organizational goals. Participants will have the opportunity to practice committed listening, observing behaviors, providing feedback, and creating coaching plans. 

Communication Skills

This program centers on identifying linguistic acts and working with them more effectively. Assessments, assertions, declarations, offers, and petitions are explored. Participants develop a new awareness in their own communication patterns and identify opportunities to apply the learnings to design transformational conversations. The program also focus on how to develop committed listening skills.


Time Management

Participants explore their priorities, time wasters, interruptions and delegation challenges. After they identify main obstacles in managing their time effectively, and understand the difference between being effective and efficient, they develop a plan to diminish time wasters and maximize resources. The program also focuses on how to develop  effective delegation skills.

Strategic Planning

This program assists participants to asses the opportunities and threats at their organizations and communities and to develop a long-term plan based on this analysis. Different sources of information gathering are identified, implemented and evaluated. Participants also develop skills to facilitate the different stages of the strategic planning  process. 


Conflict Resolution

This program presents different styles of conflict resolution and the  appropriate style for different circumstances. Participants identify their own personal difficulties in dealing with conflict effectively and explore their main style when dealing with conflicts. The program offers an opportunity to develop skills to apply different techniques based on the specific characteristics of the conflict and to enhance assertiveness skills when necessary.


Public Speaking

This seminar presents the basic elements for successful presentations and offers the participants the opportunity to practice and observe themselves on video tape. They also receive personal coaching from instructor and fellow participants.


Team Building

This seminar focuses on team development by introducing exercises targeted to challenge the team to perform to its greatest potential. By analyzing strengths and weaknesses, team members develop awareness of issues that need to be  addressed. Team members prepare a plan to leverage their strengths and improve the areas that need development.

Consultants

Damian Goldvarg, Ph.D., PCC

Dr. Goldvarg is the Principal of The Goldvarg Consulting Group. He has consulted for twenty years to non-profit, government and Fortune 100 corporations in 24 countries including the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia. He is an expert in leadership development, and personal and organizational effectiveness. He has experience working with people from a wide array of business sectors such as technology, energy, finance, retail and government.  Dr. Goldvarg received his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Alliant University in California, USA. Originally from Argentina, he deliveres services in English and Spanish. He is a Professional Certified Coach and a Board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Coaching Federation and a member of the Educational Steering Committee for the International Coach Federation Conference to take place in Orlando in December, 2009.

Ariel Goldvarg

Mr. Goldvarg received his certification as ontological coach from ICP, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has ten years of experience as group facilitator and trainer focusing on Coaching and learning. He hosted talk show radio programs for many years and developed a  transformational program for weight loss applying ontological distinctions. He currently provides ontological coaching and seminars  for personal and professional growth. He specializes in the design and implementation of trainings using team building tools. He has consulted and facilitated trainings for organizations in Argentina, Panamá and U.S.A.:

Evelyn Gonzalez-Figueroa, Ph.D., M.P.
Dr. Gonzales-Figueroa holds a doctoral degree in Organizational Psychology and wrote her dissertation on mentoring and Latinas in professional roles.  Evelyn completed her doctoral internship at   The  Walt Disney Co. with the Global Leadership Organizational Development Team.  She has also consulted for an international consulting firm in training and development for managers and supervisors and for various non-profits in Los Angeles   County.  Currently, she is  the Project Director for UCLA’s Young Parents Program.  With her multifaceted background in the various sectors (i.e., academia, community/non-profit, and private industry), Evelyn wishes to continue to find the story behind the numbers, and in developing strategies that  improve the well-being of organizations and the Latino Community. 

Patricia Osorio
Patricia Osorio has been a community educator and motivational speaker for over 19 years. Patricia was born in Guatemala where she studied Communication Science at the prestigious Francisco Marroquín Universtiy. Her education as well as her long-time experience as a communicator and actress, has empowered Patricia to dedicate most of her time to create educational plays and motivational presentations. Patricia is a strong group facilitator, trainer, and presenter. Her work has focused mainly on community health, domestic violence, and HIV/AIDS issues She has done presentations on self-esteem, public speaking, client services, and female leadership. Patricia’s genuine care for the community has taken her to develop important community projects such as the Decision play (La Decisión) and Designing Your Life weekend seminar (Diseñando Tu Vida), among others. Currently, Patricia’s tireless work focuses on teaching other individuals how to take better care of themselves and to develop fully as human beings

Diana J. Newton, MA, MEd
Diana Newton is currently a Senior Consultant for the Goldvarg Consulting Group, where she focuses on developing individuals and teams to achieve superior results in the areas of leadership, management, service, and team development. She formerly served as the Director of Product Development for Performance Impact, an organizational learning company where she devoted much of her time to instructional design, assessment, program research and development, as well as the delivery of training.  She recently designed and implemented a comprehensive blended learning program for all new managers worldwide for a Fortune 100 company.

Diana specializes in the area of emotional intelligence and integrates related research and applications into the learning events she designs, develops, and facilitates. She has conducted professional training seminars on leadership development, performance management, managing change, team building, and conflict management for corporations, academic institutions, health care organizations, foundations, and governmental organizations.
